Method
- In a mixing bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Clean and lightly oil the grill grates.
- Place the turkey patties on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the burgers are cooked through. Do not overcook.
- Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for the last minute of cooking, if desired.
- Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
Notes
For extra moisture and flavor, you can add a tablespoon of olive oil or a teaspoon of your favorite spice blend to the turkey mixture. Serve immediately.
