Ingredients

For the Cookie Crust
  • 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough 16.5 oz
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
For the Topping
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 3 cups strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup raspberries

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Press the sugar cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet to form a large circle, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  2. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let the cookie cool completely on the baking sheet.
  3. While the cookie cools, make the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until smooth. Beat in the vanilla extract and powdered sugar until well combined and fluffy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled cookie crust, leaving a small border around the edge.
  5. Arrange the fruit on top of the frosting to create the flag design. Place blueberries in the top left corner for the stars. Arrange sliced strawberries and raspberries in alternating rows for the stripes.
  6. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure your cream cheese and butter are fully softened before making the frosting. You can also use other red fruits like raspberries or cherries for the stripes.
