Chicken Crunch Wrap

This recipe recreates the popular Chicken Crunch Wrap at home, perfect for busy weeknights and family meals. It's a convenient and flavorful twist on a fast-food favorite.

Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Cooked seasoned rice e.g., Near East Spanish Rice
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese blend Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Mozzarella
For Assembly
  • 1/2 cup Nacho cheese sauce Warmed slightly
  • 1/4 cup Chipotle sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Tortilla strips Crunchy
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 Flour tortillas Burrito-size (10-12 inches)

Method
 

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the water and taco seasoning. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the seasoning is fragrant.
  3. Add the cooked rice and shredded cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined. Remove from heat.
  4. Lay out a flour tortilla. Spread a layer of nacho cheese sauce, then chipotle sauce, and sour cream in the center.
  5. Spoon the beef and rice mixture over the sauces. Top with tortilla strips.
  6. Fold the tortilla in half, then fold the sides inward to create a sealed package.
  7. Melt the butter in a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the folded tortilla seam-side down in the skillet.
  8. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
